Yvonne Mati

Yvonne Mati is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a commissioner for Oaths. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from The University of Nairobi and a postgraduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is a Member of the Law Society of Kenya.

She is a Senior Associate and head of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute department in the firm.

She has gained a lot of experience having previously worked with the firm of Kiarie Kariuki & Co. Advocates, The Refugee Consortium of Kenya and the firm of Gitonga Kamiti & Kairaria Advocates before joining the firm of M/s Owaga and Associates LLP Advocates.

She has experience in Civil, Commercial, and Criminal Litigation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. She specializes in advising and representing clients in employment and labour dispute, banking and commercial litigation, land matters, taxation law and family matters. She also undertakes debt recovery with respect to secured and unsecured debts for various financial institutions, private companies, businesses, and individuals.

She has handled matters in the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the Employment & Labour Relations Court and the Environment and Land Court, Magistrate Court and Small Claims Court.

She is a professional and reliable Advocate with excellent interpersonal and conceptual skills. She is a team-oriented player who works to increase understanding and proficiencies in all areas of legal practice.
